About Saltbox
Saltbox splits each paycheck into envelopes such as groceries, rent and transport, then shows one number: what is left to spend this month. Logging an expense takes three taps.
It never asks for your bank login. You enter spending by hand or import a CSV from your bank, and everything stays on your phone unless you turn on encrypted sync.
What it does well

The home screen shows what is left this month, then each envelope below it.
Three-tap entry
Amount, envelope, done. A lock-screen widget makes it two.
Rollover rules
Choose per envelope whether leftovers carry over or return to the pot.
CSV import
Reads exports from most banks and remembers how you categorised each payee.
